December 2011 Goals

I thought it would be fun to start off this merriest month of December with my Christmas list, and of course some December goals to follow. First up, my 2011 Christmas list :

1. New leather boots
2. A lovely screened door for my back patio. I want the breeze without the bugs this spring!
3. Design Sponge at Home
4. A handy dandy iphone case for when I’m running
5. iTunes giftcards: Apps, music, ipad books – a gift that keeps on giving. And yes, I’ll be happy to receive $10,000 in iTunes giftcards, thank you very much.
6. Subscription to Martha Stewart Living
7. Amarican Apparel Infinity Scarf
8. Galoshes. Taking Winston out in the rain now leaves me and my shoes pretty soaked.
9. Money for my Ikea shopping trip in January! I’ve never been, but I’m excited to take a road trip and get the whole experience.

My list could go on, but hopefully Santa knows that I always and forever appreciate Anthropologie, Forever XXI, Pottery Barn and Starbucks giftcards as well. And a massage. And a bed for Winston. And cash. Yep, I think that about covers it.

I get so dreamy and nostalgic this time of year. Christmas music, cozy nights, scarves and boots – this is hands down my favorite time of year. Yet this year, with all the hustle and bustle of holiday deadlines, work, and Christmas planning, I have 1 goal that is at the top of the list :

Relax.
This year I am determined to not plan too much, to say no, to spend many nights at home with my two favorites, to drink lots of apple cider, to read, to go to bed early, and to soak in the season.

With that said, I of course I have some practical goals that follow that #1 goal…
