Strawberry Pickin

Every year for mother’s day, I have two requests:

Go strawberry picking with my family.
Get a massage!

I’d say that’s a pretty awesome line up for every mother’s day for the rest of my life, because I LOVE my family, I LOVE traditions, I LOVE freshly picked strawberries, and goodness knows I LOVE a massage.

This tradition began on the very last mother’s day that I wasn’t yet a mom. It was the season of life that God was preparing my heart to be mama, but I didn’t quite know it yet. Now that I have a two year old and one on the way, these images hold such a special place in my heart.

Can you even handle Milly’s strawberry face? I think she picked and ate 14 all by herself, and it was hilarious! And to know that the sweet baby in my belly will be joining us next year on Mother’s Day is just so special.
