NRP 10 Year Anniversary

Words cannot express how grateful I am for being in business for 10 years. I do NOT take that lightly! What a privilege it has been to do this work. After celebrating our 5 year milestone, I knew I wanted to do something special to celebrate 10 years of Nancy Ray Photography.

A decade of my life has been spent serving brides and grooms and families, documenting and capturing them, in their most meaningful and vulnerable moments. I’ve captured countless weddings, when couples would start their family legacy and commit their lives to one another. I’ve documented families of all stages and seasons – families with tiny children who are crying and crazy and wonderful (I’m currently in that season!), families with grown children, families with difficult diagnosis’s, and families who are celebrating major milestones. I’ve witnessed and captured babies being born, dads crying their eyes out, and mamas being stronger than they ever thought they could be. So many milestones, so many legacies. What a privilege!

There’s so much more to running a photography business than just showing up and photographing the event. It was going to be easy to just say “we’re too busy” or “there’s too much going on.” BUT, we knew we wanted to celebrate this milestone by celebrating the couples and clients who have made this businesses what it is today! We wanted it to be all about our couples and clients through the years, so we had a sweet Sunday afternoon party at my house in October, inviting all of our past couples and clients to celebrate with us.

Listen. I just about cried when I hugged brides I haven’t seen in years, showing up at my house with their babies. I met so many of Callie and Olivia’s couples I had never met before, and it was so sweet to hug them in person! We gave away some favorite goodies, served some of our favorite treats (hello Jubala!), and took free photos for anyone who came. I honored Callie and Olivia and Jen and Elizabeth and our many Interns who came (goodness, I love each of you so much!), and it was the sweetest night of celebration. I’m so grateful!

All photos by Callie, Olivia and Jen :). They shared the camera the whole night.
